This policy explains what information TypingTest.pk ("we", "us") collects when you use https://typingtest.pk, why we collect it and what choices you have. By using the website you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
When you create an account
- Your username, which is shown publicly in rankings.
- Your email address, which is never shown publicly.
- Your password. We only store it in a securely hashed form and can never see it.
When you take a typing test
- What you type into the test box and when, so our server can calculate and verify your score.
- Your results: speed (WPM), accuracy, number of correct and wrong words, test type, duration and date.
If you are not logged in, your typing is sent to our server only to calculate your result. It is not stored.
When you log in
We store a login session, together with your IP address and browser type, to keep you signed in and to protect your account.
When you contact us
We store the name, email address and message you send us, and your IP address to prevent spam.
2. How we use your information
- To run the typing tests and show your results.
- To save your history and show your scores in the rankings.
- To keep the rankings fair and detect cheating.
- To keep your account secure.
- To answer your messages.
- To improve the website and fix problems.
3. Public information
Your username and your typing results can be seen by anyone in the rankings and the latest results list. Do not use your real name as your username if you do not want it to be public.
4. Cookies
We currently use only cookies that are needed for the website to work, such as the cookie that keeps you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies at the moment. If we add analytics or advertising in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
5. Sharing your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers that run the website for us, such as our hosting company, who may only use it to provide their service.
- When the law requires it, or to protect our users and website.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account and results for as long as your account exists. Login sessions expire automatically. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with them. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal information and results, unless we must keep something by law.
7. Security
We protect your information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and limited access to our systems. No website is completely secure, so please use a strong password that you do not use anywhere else.
8. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Send your request through the contact page using the email address of your account.
9. Children
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Important changes will be announced on the website.
