Serbian Typing Test
Тест брзине куцања на српском
Check how fast you can type in Serbian. The test shows 200 common Serbian words, such as је, да, се and на, in random order. Type as many as you can in one minute and see your speed in words per minute (WPM), your accuracy and how many words you got right.
Serbian is written in both Cyrillic and Latin. This test uses Cyrillic, the official script, with letters such as ђ, ћ, џ, љ, њ and ј.
Typing Serbian on your keyboard
The Serbian Cyrillic layout puts each letter on the Latin key with a similar sound, with ђ, ћ, љ, њ and џ on extra keys. Every Serbian Cyrillic letter has its own key, so there are no dead keys.
On Windows 11, add Serbian under Settings → Time & language → Language & region, then switch between keyboards with Windows + Space.
Letters to watch
The test compares every character, so these often make a word wrong:
- ћ and ч, ђ and џ are different letters, as in кућа and човек.
- љ and њ are single letters, as in људи and његов.
- ј is the Cyrillic letter, not the Latin j.
Tips to type Serbian faster
- Keep your eyes on the screen: the current word turns red as soon as you make a mistake.
- Accuracy first. Wrong words do not count towards your WPM.
- Practise for a few minutes every day. The 200 words in this test appear in almost every Serbian text.

Frequently asked questions
- Is there a Serbian Latin typing test?
- This test uses Cyrillic. To practise Serbian in the Latin alphabet, create a Custom Typing Test with your own text.
- Can I use a Macedonian or Russian keyboard?
- No. They are missing ђ and ћ, and the Russian layout lacks ј, љ, њ and џ. Use the Serbian Cyrillic layout.
- How is typing speed (WPM) calculated?
- Every correctly typed word counts its characters plus the space after it. That number is divided by 5 (the length of an average word) and by the test time in minutes. Wrong words do not count towards your speed.
- What is accuracy?
- Accuracy is the share of all the keys you pressed that were correct. Typos you fixed with backspace still lower your accuracy, so it shows how cleanly you type.
